I had a walk around Livingston Designer Outlet and the Centre on Sunday past. Actually quite enjoyed the experience as it was quiet, easy to park and easy to get in and out of shops and with lockdown I hadn't had to endure the shops for a few months. Well, while I was walking around with my family trying to keep my 2 monkeys entertained while the better half browsed it was interesting to take note of what the retailers were doing to draw in customers. So you've got The Body Shop using hanging posters in their [...]

I remember my dad always saying to me when I was at school, "this is the best time of your life, you have tonnes of time to do what you like, when you want". Well he was right on the time aspect. Where does it go? With my boys being 2 and 4 they tend not to like playing too long on their own. Dad, can you come play, or can we go for a walk? So at the moment I get work done in short, irregular bursts. Hazel my wife works for the NHS and an aesthetics clinic so she is [...]

Is anyone else really tired?

By |2020-07-14T07:49:07+01:00July 14th, 2020|Categories: David's Blog|Tags: |0 Comments

I was sitting at my he office most of yesterday working on our new website. Our existing Drupal website is version 7 and it's quite cumbersome to update so decided rather than upgrading professionally to version 8 jump onto WordPress. Anyway whether it was a lot of screen time or something else I was whacked. Fell asleep while the boys were having their dinner. Not done that ever. Feeling much the same way this morning even though Fitbit tells me I had a good sleep. Busy day coming up with trip to Glasgow, meetings and then back to Edinburgh for meeting on [...]

Which self adhesive vinyl?

By |2023-07-20T23:44:37+01:00July 13th, 2020|Categories: Uncategorized|Tags: |0 Comments

When getting vinyl prints on Windows or signs it is really important to check what material your supplier is intending on using. For most longer term applications (3 years plus) a polymeric vinyl should be used. This material is made in a different way to monomeric and doesn't shrink as much. So, if you imagine the print goes to the edge of the window then this material will stay there. If a monomeric vinyl was used then over time it will shrink and the edges will start to lift. Once this happens the vinyl will start to lift. The third type of [...]

New Social Distancing Catalogue

By |2020-07-29T12:38:54+01:00June 29th, 2020|Categories: Uncategorized|Tags: |0 Comments

We've been a great supporter of modular displays for years and have invested in a huge stock for our exhibition rental service. This exhibition stock is made from T3 and Aluvision. The reason we liked the T3 kit is that it is so versatile and easy for us to build. We can reconfigure all the pieces and make it into a different configuration. Very eco friendly as we don't throw anything out. Just reconfigure and re-use. COVID19 has put a dampener on events but T3 have created a load of self build solutions for Social Distancing to help businesses get back to [...]

Modular Exhibition Stands at BETT

By |2023-11-14T12:37:10+00:00April 9th, 2020|Categories: David's Blog|Tags: , |Comments Off on Modular Exhibition Stands at BETT

Bett 2020 was an exhibition I really wanted to have a close look at to see how prevalent modular exhibition stands were becoming. It's the main industry showcase for Education Technology and there are always some pretty cool stands there.  The thing I've noticed is that more and more larger companies are working with smaller stand spaces and smaller budgets and then you have the smaller companies that are moving up from shell scheme stands to their first space only stand. Thing is they all want to get the maximum impact to generate interest when they are at the exhibition. So [...]
